Parents’ Association
The Parents’ Association is a group of Parents who share their time and talents in an effort to be involved in our children’s education and to help the College grow and develop.
The main role of the Association is to:
- To support the Christian ethos of the college
- To represent the views of parents in matters pertaining to the college
- To foster co-operation between parents, teachers and management
- To inform parents of developments in education
- To encourage parents participation in college activities
- To organise and conduct the election of parents representatives to the Board of Management
- Fund-raise for much needed equipment and projects for the school
- Organise various activities that enrich the learning of our children
The Role includes:
- A monthly meeting,
- Meet with Student Council
- Meet with the Board of Management
- Fundraising – Wakeathon, Cycle to support Accelerated Reading Programme, Annual ‘Bag-Pack’ in local supermarket
- Social events
- Assist in school events such as Open Night, Graduation Mass, The TY Year Musical
- Organising talks for both Student and Parents
- “Moving to College” talk for 6th Year students and their parents
- Study supervision on Saturday mornings from January to the summer each year.
